Let’s talk shoes.
Every mom knows, comfortable and stylish moccasins are a staple in every baby and toddler wardrobe! They’re just so comfortable, perfect in every weather and look great with every outfit! As with all things, I’m always on the hunt to find the best company to support and I think I’ve finally found it!
Based on the West Coast of Canada, Mia’s Moccs was founded in early 2016 by a local mother-daughter duo and created to offer stylish leather moccasins for babies and toddlers at affordable prices. Each pair of moccasins is lovingly and ethically handmade by hired staff overseas at their own warehouse – they even have on-site childcare facilities for the families of the workers! This company truly is a multi-generational, multi-cultural family affair.
When it comes to design, my favourite part of these adorable little shoes are the quality. There are a lot of other shoes from various moccasin companies in Chayton’s drawer and by far, Mia’s Moccs are the best ones. I was instantly impressed with how soft yet sturdy these shoes are. Plus of all the moccasin companies out there, these are the only ones that I have seen to come with a soft insole inside. And, with the gentle elastic ankle band, each pair is for me to slip on and hard for Chayton to slip off, which means I never have to worry about them falling off when he’s out exploring!
Each pair of moccasins ranges in price from $25-$30 and come in a variety of adorable, on-trend colours and sizes. As a customer, I find their printable sizing chart really helpful in determining the right size before I purchase. And to make things easier for local mamas, pickup in Comox is available if you live on Vancouver Island and pick up in Vancouver is available for mainland mamas! Plus affordable shipping rates for across Canada and the United States.
