Our (first) Wedding: Tunkwa Lake, BC
Photography by Tina Francis.
We wanted our Tunkwa Lake Wedding to have a very rustic, natural and bohemian vibe. As I was wedding planning aka scouting pinterest, I found countless boho weddings with beautiful horses. Chris is a country-boy at heart and I knew that having a horse in our portrait session would be a cool addition but where was I going to find a horse????
Thankfully, we have an amazing God who loves to bless us above and beyond what we ask of Him! Right in the middle of our portrait session with Tina, a stunning wild colt walked up from out of no where and into stood only a few feet away from us. He seemed unfazed and slightly curious at our presence in his wild domain. Tina quickly snapped a few photos of his majesty figure amongst the rolling terrain, an unforgettable moment!
God also blessed us with the sighting of seven golden eagles soaring overhead as we entered Tunkwa Lake the day before. SEVEN! Golden eagles are extremely rare and powerfully majestic, one of Chris’ favourite animals. On top of that, seven is an important number in the Bible, as God took seven days to form creation into its perfect completion….a great reminder that God will always continue to complete the work that He is doing in us as well.
