Engagement is a whirlwind of a time! There’s a lot that needs to get done in a short amount of time with many people’s opinions and very high emotions.
Chris and I wanted to keep things really simple yet very much “us”. This is difficult when you have one person who loves the feel of a minimalistic-natural-outdoors-celebration and one who loves bohemian-global-whimsical-sparkle! Thankfully we’ve found a balance of our two identities that come together to create something totally new and beautifully unique.
We were also wanted to have a small, private and intimate ceremony while still being able to celebrate with people who meant a lot to us and have been an integral part of the journeys of our lives. We considered eloping for a while. Having a day that was only ours; where we had nothing to do but bask in the love that we shared and the sacred vow of a lifelong commitment to uphold that love and cultivate our relationship with each other and God.
But Chris and I are both very social people. We value our communities and we have friends all around the world who mean so much to us. We are blessed with family that has gone above and beyond to support us through some of the biggest things of our lives and our wedding certainly wouldn’t have been the same without those people by our side.
Our Solution: More than one wedding!
We got married more than once.
Three times, actually.
And it was perfect!
