2013 “Me-to-We” Social Action Awards
I’m honoured to announce that I have been selected as one of three shortlisted nominees for the 2013 Me-to-We Social Action award for my work to end human trafficking! If I win, I will be able to provide a charity of my choice with a $5,000 donation and will receive a spread in Canadian Living Magazine that I can use to help raise awareness of human trafficking, violence against women and child exploitation.
This isn’t about accolades, this is about raising awareness of this heinous crime and raising funds to support survivors to thrive in freedom. Human Trafficking is the fast growing crime on the planet, forcing over 27 Million people into modern day slavery in 161 countries worldwide. This is unacceptable; people are not to be bought and sold!
