In just over two weeks I am moving!!
On Friday, August 6th I found out that I got an apartment on TWU’s campus. I had applied for housing back in February but because there were so many applicants there wasn’t an apartment available at that time. However last week there was an opening and I was first on the list! I was so excited! I have always wanted to live on campus but because I only live 10 minutes away from the University, I have always lived at home while going to school.
The only problem this time was that my previous roommate was no longer returning to TWU in the Fall (I will miss you Crystal!) so if I wanted the apartment then God would have to provide the roommate as well.
I posted a roommate request on my Facebook and my good friend Joti responded! It was a perfect match: we are both Education majors, love the Lord and we get along great! However, there was one teeny little problem… Apartment housing is reserved for Upperclassmen or students 21 years or older, and Joti is none of the above. We had to fill out a bunch of paperwork to get it appealed and approved by a committee.
Saturday we waited.
Sunday we waited.
Monday we waited.
Tuesday we waited.
But Wednesday morning I woke up to a text message from Joti saying:
” Hey Roomie! I got accepted! Yeeeow!!!! :D”
What a great message to wake up to! Thanks God!
However, even with that settled there was still one little detail…rent, Joti needs to make sure she is able to pay rent, so she needs a job.
This afternoon she had an interview at a boutique in the lovely village of Fort Langley . At 10:42pm I received this message on my phone:
“Tara, I got the job!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 ”
Wow, thanks again God!
I didn’t think I’d be living on campus this Fall… but God had it under control from the beginning! It’s really cool to see how God works and how He just brings everything together on His terms and in His timing.
Thanks God, You rock! I’m really looking forward to seeing what else He is going to do this school year!
